In praise of merino shirts

If you ever travel to New Zealand (or have a bit of spare cash), definitely pick up a shirt of merino wool on the way. Although the high quality brands like Icebreaker are a bit easier on the budget than elsewhere as well, you can get really great cheap shirts. I bought two long-arm shirts for about 15€ each in a fashion shop and after four years, they’re still worn most days in winter. They’re soft, lightweight, warm and look great and they get even better after having faced the washing machine. They also dry faster than cotton would.

Even though I’m a student with all it’s implications, I am prepared to shell out the ~70€+ it costs to get them over here in Europe. They’re that great.
