Wild Photography

Location: Karamea (West Coast)

Here we go again.. my camera is loaded with pictures from a brilliant Nelson Lakes National Park trip and the short trips we had around here.

Karamea is the northernmost village on the West Coast. The road ends here. In order to get to Nelson one has to drive all around Kahurangi National Park (or one can walk the Heaphy Track or another, which will take a few days).. not a lot of people and not a lot of space either, for on one side there is the National Park and on the other there is the wild wild West Coast Sea. Still, the birds love it here and the plants are just amazing. This area is known as Hippie land. You are just soooo far from everything, it’s amazing. The people are nice (how can they not, when there are so few around..?) and there is a lot to do.

But now, let pictures speak! (Yeah, I know I’m just being lazy.. ^^)
