Heya.. long time.. ^^ being on the move doesn’t leave much time for the net.. but here we go again! From Nelson Lakes over to West Coast, to Karamea and down, down, down was our path leading us. At the moment we are in Franz Joseph village and are going to do a full-day glacier hike tomorrow. :)
Have a few photos from the last days; you’ll see that reflections seemed to play a big role! ^^

West Coast Rain Forest

Around Karamea is limestone country, you can find wonderful arches there! (If you take it on you to drive a hell of a gravel road there, that is.. ^^)

Reflection Number 1

The colour of the rivers in the area is simply amazing, a reddish brown! oO

The big arch

At the Estuary

West Coast has a vigourous surf and lots of driftwood.

Our place of choice in Karamea, Rongo’s. :)

Those palmtrees are native to NZ. :)

Pancake Rocks in Punakaiki! :)

One bridge for both lanes of the street and the rails.. oO

Designing for our very own Jade carving in Hokitika! :)

Jap, I did this!!! :) It’s not too hard, but it takes a whole day for the jade is hard and even with machinery it just takes ages..

Franz Joseph glacier – tomorrow we’ll go there! :)

What the hell..? (There’s nothing wrong with the camera, that’s the colour!)
